Will 2018 be the year your managers take back their lives and their productivity?
January 1, 2018

How can you build resilience during the holidays?

Being able to respond positively to constantly evolving challenges, acquiring new skills, and assuming additional responsibilities will help people succeed in any workplace environment. In the HBR article, “Resilience is about how to recharge not only how to endure,” the research points out that the lack of recovery is costing $62 billion a year in lost productivity. So as you enter this holiday period, think about it as your recovery therapy for your brain and body to rest. Replenish during the holidays and feel rejuvenated and ready to return to your performance zone in 2018.

Share these 4 recovery strategies with your managers and indulge in them yourself:

  1. Unplug from work emails and slow down on the use of technology
  2. Engage in fun activities; listen to music, write in a journal, or watch movies
  3. Take naps and do anything you can to sleep well at night
  4. Spend quality time with the personal relationships in your life

Next year, during the month of January, I’ll share at least 12 tips from my Time Management & Personal Effectiveness Workshop to help you balance work and life and raise your productivity game in 2018. But in the meantime, soak up the relaxation and recharge your batteries.

Happiest of Holidays to you and your family from us at Align4Profit!
