What is the cost to your organization when your leaders are less productive?

We all need time to recharge our brains, and when we constantly check our emails, it reduces our creativity and our productivity. Here are 4 tips to share with your team:

  1. Set a good example by communicating that you will resist the urge to send or respond to late-night emails (unless urgent)
  2. Talk together and agree to email protocols
  3. Keep your phone outside your bedroom at night and get those valuable sleep hours
  4. Give each other email-free weekends, by taking turns to be on-call for one another

To be effective our brains need opportunities to be off, which is hard when we’re constantly taking in new information through our devices.

Learn how you can further raise the bar on personal effectiveness by improving your managers’ time-management skills.
