Don’t Take My Word for It

Feel. Think. Act. Talk. like a Coach
October 8, 2012

At CoachQuest we take feedback and metrics seriously. Not only do we love the anecdotal comments we receive, but we pore over the program evaluations very carefully. Last week’s CoachQuest program held in Dallas gave me such a sense of comfort.

The Raves

Just check out this recommendation we received on LinkedIn:

“Simply put, attending Helanie Scott’s CoachQuest Leadership Workshop was a gift. I can’t even begin to sum up in words everything I experienced, but can say that through the techniques and practices I was taught, I now feel as if I am on a continued journey in self-awareness in terms of both my professional and personal life. I truly feel that the leadership intimacy skills I was taught will make me a better person in so many ways.

“Helanie’s reach goes far beyond a session or workshop time frame, she positions herself as your ‘coach’ and makes herself available as a consultant while providing continued tools to support your growth. Helanie’s processes are marketed toward high-level business leaders, but the concepts she teaches can be applied to everyone—whether they want to be a better parent, better friend, better boss or better employee. I believe Helanie holds the key to success in business and I will urge anyone looking to take the next step in their professional career to hire Helanie.”

The human resources leader of a huge, multinational corporation told me he had been to more than 30 leadership training events. “I expected more of the same,” he said, but CoachQuest stands heads above the rest, “because it made me think!”

That’s so gratifying, because making leaders think is what I set out to do. Another C-level executive told me he was moved. And then he volunteered, “It takes a lot to move me.”

Here’s another glowing report from LinkedIn:

“Helanie Scott is one-of-a-kind, and is in a category all of her own. She is a Coach, unlike any other, which is why she exceeds her clients’ expectations. Helanie takes her ‘students’ on a personal quest that has been proven to make the most positive impacts on their business and personal lives. It is through her CoachQuest program that she teaches the truths about Leadership Intimacy and gives REAL tools that can be used going forward on the ongoing Quest for Leadership and success. I highly recommend Helanie Scott and CoachQuest!!”

The Numbers

The experienced senior leaders in the workshop sang our praises with cumulative average score on the following questions of 4.93 out of 5!

  1. The facilitator is knowledgeable about subject matter
  2. The facilitator can answer my questions and concerns
  3. The facilitator is interactive with the group
  4. The facilitator provides sufficient explanation
  5. The facilitator provides valuable and/or relevant feedback
  6. The facilitator is enthusiastic about their task
  7. The facilitator’s articulation is clear and easy to understand

Just the Beginning

We will not, however, rest on our laurels. The CoachQuest value proposition grows out of the fact that we “train and sustain.” That means maintaining strong and lasting connections with past participants, tracking and ensuring successful implementation of the skills they learned at CoachQuest. My personal accountability calls to grads provide additional support along with a year-long stream of relevant tools and practical action recommendations.

Because of all this personal follow-up, we are not only the ‘sage on the stage’ but also a ‘guide on the side.’ What does that mean? We make ourselves available for ongoing team and individual coaching—a life-long promise to all our participants.

In my research I have found very few if any other training organizations that demonstrate that level of commitment to ‘making a meaningful difference’ to every manager and leader we help develop. And I promise, it’s going to stay that way! This kind of feedback tells me we doing something absolutely right.
